Tuesday: Looking for New Artwork

It's Tuesday, kinda excited I have the next two days off from babysitting and am going to be working on a new look to film a tutorial on. Anyway, I have been looking into getting some new art work for my bedroom. I have posters up but I wanted something a bit more grown up then the Cheshire cat, Jack Skellington, a random drawing of my dad's. There are these Van Gogh posters from Wal-mart, have been eyeing them online, and one of the is Starry Night. Now I LOVE Starry Night, it is probably one of my most favorite paintings and it just brings back memories of me gazing at a copy in my art teacher's class in elementary school and thinking, "Wow." Plus, I love the episode of Doctor Who, believe David Tenant was the Doctor then, when they went to see Van Gogh then took him to the future and into a museum that was showing his work. The man was simply a genius, kinda proves a find line between genius and insanity, doesn't it?
   But I have been wanting some new art work so can anyone recommend anything? A shop on Etsy or something? I would greatly apperciate it :)

Music Monday

'ello all my music lovers out there! That has to be the cheeriest I have sounded all day :/ It unfortunately has been somewhat of a shitty day (pardon my French) and all I want to do right now is cry my eyes out... BUT! I am working through it by jamming out to an AOL radio thingy that is playing Feel Good Drag by Anberlin, and I have to say, Anberlin is AWESOME! Just the perfect mix of emo/ screamo and rock.
    I go through these phases where I do not listen to music at all, well not at all but I rarely listen to my MP3 Player or the radio unless I'm in the car with my parental units and then it's usual country or like oldies... well not oldies but like old Elton John. If you live in the Tampa area and listen to the station "The Eagle" then you know what I am talking about.
   Anyway! Back on topic, teehee. I had been going through one of my music fade out phases and I do not know why I ever did that to myself! Music is the perfect way to just really connect with your emotions and whatever it is that you are feeling at that moment. We've all felt it too, whenever you're just having a bad day and a song comes on and it's like, LIGHT BULB! That's exactly how I feel! Or just gives you the perfect song to just hand bang to or dance around all crazy. I have had that epiphany moment so many times when it comes to music it's not even funny, ok maybe it is a little. :)
    I have heard a song before that just so perfectly fits my life at that moment it is somewhat scary. Take Taylor Swift's song "Ours". I feel like that perfectly fits my relationship with my boyfriend because it just seems to chronicle our relationship. People judging our relationship, thinking they know best but my choice is him... So... the moral of today's post: Music is AMAZING! Never live your life without it and branch out to other genres or artists and you may find a song that becomes your anthem in life. Like Katy Perry said, "Baby you're a firework... it's always been inside of you and now it's time to let it through."

Sunday: New Week, New Begining

So it's Sunday! First day of the week so the perfect day for me to really start blogging again :) It's almost one o'clock here and I haven't really accomplished a lot today, but that's not really a bad thing, is it? Sunday's always seem like such a lazy day and this is the first Sunday that my family and I haven't been like go, go, go! My dad is taking the day to rest up, which is good. Anyway! One thing I have done today is give my pets a bath. I have two pets, one cat and one dog. My cat's name is Garfield, yes he is a chunky monkey just like the cartoon one and same colourings :) My pup's name is Astro, like off the Jetsons. Just finished up giving them baths and why they were not very thrilled about it they will be when they realise they're no longer stinky, lol. Astro seems to bathe a bit easier, though he hates the garden hose but he's too big for the tub :/ I think his favourite part is when it's over and I tell him shake and he shakes all the water off, lol. His tail wags so much when he gets to do that and when I'm towelling him off. He's sun bathing at the moment. Garfield on the other hand cries during his bath times and it had been forever since I had given him one but he was WAY over due for one. He's sitting on the table out in the patio, putting his fur back in place. He didn't really let me dry him off like pup did, so be it.
 Let's see.... next on the agenda for the day is to try and start working on a look for a tutorial, I really miss making videos. And I need to finish up my work for school this week. I am an on line college student with the University of Phoenix and I really like the classes! I'm working towards an associates degree in business. I have a few more questions to round out the week, then two assignments, then going to get a jump start on my readings. So... anyone who is reading this... any requests for a makeup tutorial or something for me to blog about?

A Journey of a thousand miles beings with a single step...

My name is Chelsey and I want to invite you join me on my journey to discovering who I am. I don’t know exactly what this blog will be about, I am just kind of winging it at the moment, lol. Some of the things that I will talk about on here are books, music, movies, my two wonderfully silly pets, my adventures in cooking, makeup, and just life in general.

            A little about me… hmm… well I LOVE to read, books have been my best friend for the longest time J Currently I am reading The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, I’m not very far into it yet. I just finished Cujo which was good but somewhat depressing :/ I do love music, just about anything but rap/hip hop. I just cannot get into it and I prefer my emo/scream/ alternative music, lol. A lot of my posts maybe about makeup, I am a makeup junkie (we should have a support group!) and I love experimenting with it and trying new looks and what looks good on me. I do have a Youtube channel but have neglected it of late, hopefully that will change soon.
